X Men First Class

This movie BLEW MY MIND….. I did not think it was going to be as good as I was. There were no dead parts at all. Of course, the whole movie was not filled with action but when they came ooohh man, they were great. I love the story they put behind the movie also. The movie really cared itself quite well. I even loved the talking parts. The acting was pretty good to. I mean there were some parts like are you serious? However, all and all it was great. The movie was short to me. Yea it was an hour and fifty minutes but after seeing Transformers…I mean I need more. This is NOT the movie to sleep on. If you do not go and see this movie, you will be defiantly missing out.

Sucker Punch Review

This movie sucked…well 95% of it at least. It was so much stuff going on the movie you find yourself getting lost not knowing what is going on. It was so confusing. So the movie was about this girl whose mother dies and her step father sends her to this women’s home. There the girls are forced to dance…kind of like prostitutes. However, when the main character dances she goes into another world but it is really the real world….your confused to…yea that how it was the whole movie. Now I say 95% of the movie sucked. That last 5% was the action scenes. There were only like four of them but they were pretty cool. Now the acting…..oh god the acting. It was so bad. I can’t believe a movie full of d list actresses could be so bad…oh never mind….stay away from this movie…please

The Lincoln Lawyer Review

Great movie….this movie had me thinking. Nevertheless, it was a great movie. The acting was great. Everyone was great. This was not a typical movie I like to watch. This movie had me on the edge of my seat. But not like how and action movie would. This movie had me wanting to see how it would end….and I must say the ending blow me away. to I was so into the movie I found myself sad when it was over. This is a must see.

The WORST movie I've EVER seen

Oh my goodness….I could not go without talking about this movie. The Last Airbender had to be the WORST movie I have ever seen in my WHOLE life. This movie had so many things wrong with it. Where do I begin? First off, I do not know who didn’t the actor search but whoever it was deserves to be shot. This was the collective worst acting performance since Dragonball evolution (that is the second worst movie ever). Its bad when the main character is a bad but when EVERYONE was terrible. Another thing that this movie DEFIANTLY missed the mark was the story line. Now I am a BIG fan of the TV show but I cannot believe how bad they tried to remake it. I caught myself wanting to like the story but it just was not happening. I also found myself not caring about any of the characters….at all. I would literally watch every Twilight movie 3 times each before I watch that terrible movie again. If I were you…I would go and by this movie….then BURN it…then take the ashes and burn it again…period

Captin America Review

This movie was good. Wasn’t great but good. There was A LOT of talking in this movie. Now that did not take away from how good this movie was but when I say there was TALKING…believe me. And there were quite a few fight scenes but they were the fastest things ever. Each fight scene was like 20 seconds. But thy were a good 20 second. There was shooting and a nice story. And was it just me but was Captain America ruthless as all get out. Man it was like he was killing Everyone he came in contact with. The movie was good enough to be a must see of the summer. Better than Green Lantern but not quite on Transformers level

PS: Stay till the credits are over……it will BLOW YOUR MIND

Battle Los Angles Review

This movie was….ok. That’s it…..it was just ok. There were many parts that had me on the edge of my seat. But then there were many parts that had me thinking, “Why is this in the movie?”  If this movie were a video game, it would be game of the year. It honestly felt like this should have gone straight to a video game. The acting was what I expected. A movie full on B/C list actors is not going to win any Oscars. This movie was not bad….but its not going to be in my mind for years to come. I recommend this movie to video game heads. Plan and simple. Oh yea…I forgot….this movie is only a hour and 40 minutes but it will feel like your watching this movie for 3 hours….it just felt so long

Limitless Review

So I just got watching limitless and I have to say…..this movie will get you thinking. On the surface, the movie seems to be just a normal movie about a person that can see and do anything. However, when you really pay attention, there is something very different. First of all, the acting was great by everyone. That casting director for this movie deserves an Oscar they were so good. Another thing this movie had going for it was the storyline. The paste of the movie was well done. Yes, this movie was an action thriller that had me on the edge of my seat, but this movie had my mind racing at 100 miles an hour. There were so many ideas (or thoughts) that you could that for this movie. At the end of the movie, it had me thinking…..“What would my life be like if had the ability to do ANYTHING”. What if I could remember everything that has happened in my life or anything that I have seen? Would I be a great person? On the other hand, would I take advantage of the power I have? I really underestimated this movie. It had many “What ifs” in it. You need to see this movie. This movie was so good I would recommend this to anyone…….GET UP AND GO SEE IT NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bye Bye

Breaking up…..sometimes, it is the hardest thing to do. With another person. With a hobby. Even with foods (personal thing). Nevertheless, Breaking up could be very hard. This also applies to film. When you shot your film, you are going to have hours and hours of film. And most of that is going to have to go bye bye. Moreover, that alone is the HARDEST part of filming. Every piece of film is like your baby, and letting go of you baby is never going to be easy. Of course, you could keep all the film you have and keep it as is….But u will have the longest/worst movie ever. So all I can say is its ok to let silver go to give your audience gold…Tell-A-Vision

Horrible Bosses Review

This movie was surprising to me. I went into the movie thinking it was going to be stupid. However, I was completely off. This movie was very funny. I was laughing to the whole movie. There were no slow parts and each actor brought a level of funniness to make the movie better. The only negative thing I can say about this movie is that Jennifer Aniston (to me) was trying to hard in some scenes. But overall, she was very funny. There was some parts that had me thinking “Why did they put that in the movie”, but they didn’t take away from the comedy of the movie. The movie dose not necessarily stack up to “The Hangover” But I DEFIANTLY recommend this movie to anyone

Life

I feel like life is a movie. It has scenes. It has chapters. Its got characters and villains. It even has a director. The only thing life’s missing is deleted scenes and a rewind button. Therefore, life your life the best way you can and do not look back. You can only live life once. So why live in regret. …Tell-A-Vision.

Learn Your History

Learn your history: 4th of July is not for US: African Americans really werent free until April 11th, 1968 .When the Declaration of independence was signed in 1773 many states were unwilling to give there slaves up. There were offically no more slaves in 1863 with the Emancipation Proclamation. Then the world was fiercly segregated. And with all the civil rights movement, We werent really "free" intil 1968 when Martin Luther King jr. Was assassainated by James Earl Ray . This led to President Johnson signing the Civil Rights act of 1968 on Aprill 11. Learn Your History

THIS MOVIE WAS GREAT. There were so many good parts to this movie, its crazy. The Action was great. The Acting was great. Yea, there were like one or two slow parts, but the WHOLE movie was good. You have to get up NOW and see this movie

Create something new

Creativity is everything. I have seen every time of movie you can imagine. It is very hard to be creative but you have to do it. Let me let you know something. When you are creating anything, many people want to see something different. When I look at a movie trailer, I do not want to see another movie about some boy trying to get the girl. But oh, the girl dose not want him. I have seen it before. But it is not just movies; it is with everything in life. I do not want to see the same graphic design everywhere I go. I hate seeing the same kind of commercials. Be new. You want to be creative, look at the old movies. That is why I love them. They are the origin of all the movies these days. You think movies like Avatar are original. Look at Abyss or Alien. Those movies are classics. So what I’m trying to say is make sure, if you want to be big, be original. So be creative when you Tell-A-Vision

Friends

You cannot do it alone. Well, you can, but it will be the hardest time ever. Yea, it is still going to be hard, but it could be easier with help. I do not care what it is, film, graphics, sports, anything, you will need someone to help you. For example, you are making a film. How in the world to you think you can be the director, editor, soundman, cast and crew, and the set manger. There is no way. If you do not like working with people then you need to go in a hole for the rest of your life because you will ALWAYS need some. That is why some many managers in any businesses have assistants. Another example, you are in the championship game. In addition, let us say you are the best point guard in the world. How you got to the championship, I do not with out shooting guard to pass the ball too. However, you cannot just pass to your shooting guard, your not Lebron and Dwade. You have to give the ball to a small forward. But that small forward has to pass it to your power forward, as well as your center. So you see, to make what you do easier for you, get help. So get up (with your partner) and Tell-A-Vision

Put your name out there

Know who you are. Know who you are. Know who you are. If you are good at something, flaunt it. If you have a talent, you should not keep it from this world. If you like graphic design, get with someone who dose it also and start a little business. If you do what I do, make films; make yourself business cards so people can hire you for there projects. There is no reason in the world that you should not be able to do what you love and get paid for it. Some of the greatest minds started with there own business. Jay-z had marketing business when he was 6 years old. George Lucas made business cards about his video business when he was 16. So you see, there is no reason that you should start to put your name out there and Tell-A-Vision.

Fear

It will hit you like a sniper. What is it you say, fear. I do not care how tuff you are, or how good your project is going. There will be one point when you get scared. You could be scared to fail or maybe scared of how others will look at your project. Some people only have this fear for a little while. For some people, this fear drives them to perfection. However, for others, being scared could stop them in there tracks. It could make you stagnant. DO NOT LET THIS HAPPEN. You can over come. The reason you have this fear dose not matter. You have to keep your eye on the ball. Do not let distractions stop you from your dream. Tell-A-Vision

How do i start?

How do you get started? DO ANYTHING. And I mean anything. If you like graphic design, start on the paint program on the computer. If you want to be a filmmaker, start with your camera phone lol. If you want to be a basketball player and don’t have a ball, use paper and a trash can. There is no excuse for not doing what you love. When you start from nothing, usually your something will shine brighter that any star in this world…..so get your lazy self up and Tell-A-Vision

Ps: I know some of my posts are short, if u don’t like it, sue me.

DO YOU

Don’t let anyone tell you anything. When I first started in the filming business I had people come out the woodwork trying to tell me what I could or could not do. They would say, “Maybe you should do this,” or “you can’t do that.” When you start doing anything in life, you will have people come out of nowhere trying to tell you things.  DO NOT LISTEN TO THEM!!!!!!!!!! You do what you feel is good. Do what is in your heart. There will be some people that are looking out for you, but most aren’t. You should start out on your terms, your own way. Its your vision, not anyone else’s. YOU DO YOU…………. Tell-your-Vision

Time Management

Time Management is everything. Especially when it comes to filming, editing, really everything in life. You have to be able to manage your time or you will never get do what you need to.  Film wise, you need to make a schedule of everything form team meetings to when you go to the bathroom (ok, not really but you know what I mean). You do not just want to drive into anything with out a plan (unless you roll like that). If you don’t have a time schedule and you have 100 things being thrown you way (which is ALWAYS going to happen), you will forget very important things and mess everything up. Now don’t be mad if you don’t go exactly how the schedule is because 9/10 it won’t. The schedule is just there to keep you on track. So with that said, go out and Tell-A-Vision.

Green Lantern Review

So I just came from seeing The “Green Lantern” and I have mixed feelings about it.  I usually read one or two reviews about every movie I see but this time I wanted to go in fresh because of how much they hyped this movie up. Therefore, when the movie started I was surprised.  Usually Marvel movies start off either very slow (Hulk, Spiderman) or very fast but gets slow suddenly (X-men: first class, Ironman).  Green Lantern was a traffic video. It starts good, and then gets slow, then fast again, then slow and so on and so forth. Now the fight scenes were good, but I found myself not caring about anything anyone had to say.  The visuals were good to me. From how his suit looked, to the other lanterns, everything was good. Now the BIGGEST flaw that this movie had was the acting.  Now Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively Black Lively acting was spot on, but EVERYONE else sucked. I honestly think they could have picked up Disney channel actors and maybe the acting would be better.  However, everything else about the movie was good.  I would recommend this movie if you just go to see the action scenes. Or for the women to see Ryan and Men to see Lively. However, if you think you will get acting as good as Godfather of Scarface….you will be sadly mistaken.

Why??????????

People always ask me, “Why movies? Why don’t you just play football or something? Making movies is dumb. Why do you want to make movies for a living?”  And all I can say is “God put me on this earth for a reason, and my reason is to change this world but film.” You see, since a young age I have been put in front of movies.  I remember my mom putting on “Star Wars” in the morning and when it was finished, I would beg her to play it again. This would go on four or five time’s everyday day.  On top of that, when I went to my grandparent’s house they did the same thing. The only difference was instead of “Star Wars” it was “Lion King.”  I do not know if they did this to shut me up or what but it worked.  I was mesmerized in the colors and visual effects that both movies brought. Even at a young age, I would memorize lines in the movies. This made me feel like I was in the movie.  This is when the drive for movies started raging in my blood.  Even till this day, I look at every movie trailer and imagine myself in the movie. Yea it is dumb, but I love it. In addition, I would view movie and think in my head what changes I could make to better the movie.  Look, I love everything about movies.  Just like if you love football, basketball, or even chess. You and I love these things because we exposed to them. This made us feel live and fun. So all I can say is do what you love. Do not feel you need to change anything just because people ask “Why?”  You could change the world one day with your talent…remember that…...Tell-A-Vision.

Making your movie is like a Boxing match

Now if you have made a movie before you know the challenges that come with making it. If you are thinking about making a movie than all I can say "Get ready.” It all starts with an idea. I always think of movies as a vision that on person had. In addition, a person that makes movies wanted to share this idea with the world.  Now I know it sounds great, but it is not that easy.  What that idea would tell you (until you get there) is how hard it is that make that vision become reality. Now If you just have that idea in your head and keep it to yourself, your doing the world a disservice. You never know, your idea could change the world someday so why keep it in.  Next comes the writing. I have to say I struggle with this (but that does not mean you will struggle). Yea you have an idea and you can go off that, but it is better for you and everyone that you put your idea.  Then you get going…...That’s it. Thanks go make a movie. LOL yea right (I wish it were that easy). If making a movie was that easy, everyone and there momma would have a movie. There are so many steps to making a movie it’s crazy. You have to first have a camera to record this movie. Then you will need a crew to help you (trust me, you do not want to do this on your own). Next, you look for you actors. They will be the star of the movie so make sure you pick the right actors because if you do not, the movie could be a disaster.  Then you need to pick a location. To me this is the HARDEST part of the movie. You need to make sure everything, and I mean everything, is perfect at your location. If you are shooting your film outside, all I can say is good luck. If this is your first movie, I would not do it outside. It is just so much you have to keep in mind. The lighting of the sun (which you cannot change), the wind, the environment as a whole (people, cars, etc.). There is so much you have to keep in mind if filming outside that it could somewhat be overwhelming.  However, if you feel you can handle it, by all means, go for it. Oh and another thing, Please do not think your going to finish your film in one day. This business takes time. For Some moviemakers it could those them up to 5 weeks just for shooting. However, if you are just starting off, it probably would take you 4 or 5 days (that is if everything goes well). In this stage, all I can say is think on the fly. There WILL, I repeat, WILL be problems and the best of directors will know how to think on the fly and make it work. Well after shooting comes the editing. Now for some people it could be fun, but for others it could suck. That has why if you don’t like it, get one of your friends that do like it (and is good at it) to do it for you.  This process by far takes the LONGEST. You have to put everything that you done and piece them together. This is what takes Hollywood movies so long to make. Finally, after you’re done with that, your Masterpiece is done. There is nothing like the feeling of watching the finished product your. Now there are many bumps in the road but if you are strong enough to get over them and willing to wait for perfection, I guarantee you that you will be so happy in the end….So get up, go out, and Tell-A-Vision.
