300 Rise of an Empire Review

300 Rise of an Empire. Directed by Noam Murro. Starring Sullivan Stapleton, Eva Green, and Lena Headey.  What a movie. Going into this I was excited yet skeptical.  How were they gonna come back from the EPIC first 300? Was this sequel gonna be any good?  I can pleasantly say this movie did not suck.  But it did suffer from greatness.  What do i mean?  A lot of what made the first movie so great was here in this installment.  However, before, it was mind-blowing.  This time it was, well, just there.  So many movies have used that sssslllllooooooooowwwwwww down then speed up cam that its still great, but a little played out.  That being said the action scenes, which there where a whole hell of A LOT, where great but i felt like I have see this before.  The acting was so so.  I felt myself not really caring about any of the characters, i just wanted to see the fight scenes.  It was a good movie but could have been a lot better.

Ride Along Review

Being that almost everywhere you turn Kevin Hart's face probably would be there, Ride Along had high expectation behind it.  This movie stars Kevin Hart, Ice Cube, Tika Sumpter, and  John Leguizamo. The is about Ben (Kevin Hart). He has a passion for being in the police force and wants to marry Angela (Tika Sumpter), the sister of James (Ice Cube). James does everything in his power to stop Ben from going through with the marriage by taking him on a Ride along..... THIS MOVIE IS SO FUNNY!!!!! Kevin  Hart Let loose on this job and his comedy is at a all time high.... You can tell the director of the movie just sat down and said Kevin...Do you. Ice Cube was great also. Playing the hardened cop, the chemistry between the two was flawless.  Has to be one of Kevin Harts best acting performances..... He really needed this after Soul Plane... Don't get me started on that poor excuse of a movie.... This is one of the funniest movies of the year and I'm happy to see what else is in store for Kevin Hart the rest of the year...... 9/10
